Police have defused two bombs which were recovered in the city’s Farmgate and Paltan areas on Tuesday night.
Law enforcers were investigating how the bombs had been put in the places and people involved behind it.
However, the law enforcing agencies could not arrest any one in connection with the bombs recoveries.
In Farmgate, one bomb was recovered near the traffic police box at Khamarbari intersection around 9:30pm.
Later members of a bomb disposal unit defused it,
Shamim Ur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station said.
Meanwhile, the second bomb was recovered at Paltan intersection at 10:45pm on Tuesday, said Abul Hasan, OC of Shahbagh Police Station.
It was defused at 1:00am, the police official added.
Law enforcers have been examining CCTV footage to know how the two bombs were put there, DMP official sources said.
