A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested the duo in front of
Hotel Meridian around 1:45 pm, said city BNP assistant officer secretary Idris Ali.
Mehedi Hasan, Deputy Commissioner (North) of DB Police, Chattogram said the BNP leaders were arrested in a case filed on charge of attacking police on the court premises on Sunday.
On Sunday, a group of BNP leaders and activists swooped on police on the court premises after a court cancelled the bail of party leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.
Later, a case was filed with Kotwali Police Station against some 150 leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies in this connection.
