2 BGB members, one smuggler injured in Cox’s Bazar

Two members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and one yaba smuggler was injured in a gun fight between BGB and drug smuggler at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday morning.
Members of BGB recovered 96, 000 pieces Yaba tablets from their possession. The gun fight took place at sluice gate area on the bank of river Naaf.
BGB sources said on secret information, members of BGB went to the sluice gate area on the Naaf River. Sensing the presence of BGB members, the drug smugglers opened fire on them.
The members of BGB also counter fire on them. During the gunfight smugglers manage to escape but one yaba smuggler and citizen of Myanmar Riazul Haque received bullet injuries.
The BGB members also recovered 96, 000 pieces of yaba from his possession.
The injured BGB members are: sepoy Habibur Rahman and Habildar Lutfur Rahman. They were admitted to Teknaf Hospital.
The injured smuggler Reazul Haque was admitted to Cox’s Bazar Hospital.
A case was file with Teknaf Thana in this connection.
