Two Bangladeshis working in Singapore have been run over and killed by a lorry. Law enforcers in Singapore arrested the lorry driver after the incident on Thursday, local media reported.
AKM Mohsin, the editor of a Banglar Kantho, a newspaper for expatriate Bangladeshis, identified one of the victims as ‘Anis’ from Munshiganj and Abdus Salam alias Noor-e-Alam from Shariatpur.
Mohsin told bdnews24.com on Friday that the bodies were kept
at Singapore General Hospital mortuary and would be sent on Saturday. Channel News Asia reported that the incident occurred at the worksite of Mandai Depot, which is part of the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line.
