Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members arrested two Bangladeshi and Indian nationals in possession of three 9MM pistols and six magazines from Sadipur border point on Sunday afternoon.
The arrestees were identified as Ripon Ali,24, son of Abdus Sattar, a resident of Baro Achra village of Benapole, and Meher Ali,22, son of Ramjan Ali, a resident of Joyontipur village of India.
Lieutenant Colonel Matiur Rahman, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-26, said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area in the afternoon and arrested the duo.
Police also recovered three 9MM pistols and six magazines from their possession.
The arrestees have been involved in arms trading for long, said police. A case was filed against them with Benapole Port Police Station.
