UNB, Jhenidah :Two Bangladeshi cattle traders were shot and wounded by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Srinathpur border in Maheshpur upazila early Saturday.The injured were identified as Abdur Rashid, son of Abul Hossain, and Tariqul, son of Momin, of Anantapur village of the upazila.Local sources said, a patrol team of BSF of Fatehpur camp opened fire on the cattle traders when they were returning home with the 12 cattle early in the morning, leaving duobullet injuried. Family sources said BSF men picked Rashid while Tarikul managed to flee with the others. Rashid is undergoing treatment in a hospital in India, they said.Rostom Ali, company commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Kushumpur said “We have heard that the incident occurred at Indian territory, we’ve sent a letter to BSF for a flag meeting but yet to get any response.”
