Police arrested two ASI of police allegedly for trying to snatch smuggled gold from a gold smuggler at Navaron -Satkhira Mor under Sarsha upazila in Jashore district on Wednesday night.
Sharsha Police arrested ASI Mamun Reza of Patkelghata Police Station and Ishak of Kolaroa Police Station and two alleged gold smugglers, ASI Mamun Reza’s son of Ashik Reza and Ashim, 34 son of Dudu Mia resident of Gapindhor village in Signrail upazila of Manikganj district.
Sheikh Tasmim Alam, OC (investigation) of Sharsha Police Station said, On information police rushed to the Navaron satkhira Mor and arrested the four along with two gold bars including two ASI .
ASI Mamun and ASI Ishak had been involved with the snatching two gold bars from them.
A case was filed in this connection.
