Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two persons with Tk two lakh counterfeit notes from the city’s Maghbazar area on Friday night.
The criminals are Hanif Gazi (48) and Yasin Mollah alias Abdul Hannan (53). Shahidul Islam, Assistant Police Commissioner of the organized crime and car theft prevention team led the operation, confirmed the matter on Saturday.
He said they were arrested during a raid in the Moghbazar Wireless area.

Shahidul Islam said that 2 lakh counterfeit notes were recovered from them during the raid. A attempts are being made to arrest other members of the ring.
