Police arrested two youths in separate rape cases from Lakshmipur Sadar and Kamalnagar upazila on Sunday.
The arrestees are Mehedi Hasan Hridoy and Akram Hossain, reports UNB.
Police informed, two separate cases were filed against the accused in police station and court sent both the accused to jail on Sunday.
Lakshmipur police super said, on Saturday night finding the victim alone in home at upazila’s Atiatali village, accused Hridoy raped a student of class 10. Hearing the scream of the victim neighbors rescued and rushed her to hospital.
On Sunday morning victim’s father filed a rape case in police station accusing Mehedi Hasan Hridoy.
Meanwhile, in Char Jangalia area of Kamalnagar Upazila, a 17 year old girl was allegedly raped in her home by accused Akram Hossain.
Victim’s mother filed a case against the accused on Sunday morning.
Police Super Dr. AHM Kamuzzaman said both the rape cases will be settled simultaneously under special tribunal.
