Two suspected accused arrested on Friday night in connection of case filed for beating freedom fighter Abdus Salam to death at Saturia union under Rajapur upazila of Jhalakati district on Tuesday.
The arrested two Faruk Munshi, 42, son of Majid Munshi alias Kala Mia and Motaleb Molla, 44, son of Anis Molla of Tarabunia village of the union, were not accused by name and arrested from their home as suspected, police sources said.
Shamsul Alam Khan Murad, son of Freedom Fighter Abdus Salam Khan, 65, lodged a murder case on Tuesday night with Rajapur police station for murdering his father.
In the case eight people including Saturia union parishad member and local Awami League leader Mustafizur Rahman Bachchu alias Bachchu Member, his associate Shah Alam, and six others were accused by name on charge of murdering freedom fighter Salam, said Sheikh Munirul Gias, officer-in-charge of Rajapur police station.
