The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court formed two benches on Thursday to run judicial activities.
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain issued an order to form the benches, said special officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman of the High Court Division.
The Chief justice will chair one bench. Justice Hasan Foyez Siddique, Justice Zinat Ara and Justice Md Nuruzzaman will assist him.
Senior Justice Muhammad Imman Ali will lead another bench and will be assisted by Justice Mirza Hussain Haider and Justice Abu Bakar Siddiquee.
The benches will start operation on Sunday.
Besides, Justice Md Nuruzzaman has been appointed as the chamber judge of the Appellate Division.
