Two suspected robbers were killed and another injured in an attack by mob at Ranichhara village in Chandina upazila on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Solaiman and Rubel from Debidwar upazila. The injured’s name is Naim, inhabitant of Belashohor village in the upazila
Locals and police said that a gang of robbers gathered in the area to commit robbery around 4am.
Sensing the presence of the robbers, local people chased them and caught three of them while the others managed to flee.
Later, the mob gave them a good thrashing, leaving them critically injured.
On information, police rushed in at 6:00am and sent the trio to Chandina Upazila Health Complex where Solaiman and Rubel died after admission, while Naim got admitted to the hospital.
Chandina police station Officer-in-Charge Rasul Ahmad Nizami Polash confirmed the incident and said police had recovered the bodies.
