Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from city’s Pallabi area on Thursday night.
The arrestees are: Manjurul Islam Shohag, 26 of Sherpur and Shukkur Ali, 22 of Cumilla.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-4 conducted a drive around 9:45 pm and arrested them from the area, said assistant superintendent of police Mizanur Rahman (media) of RAB-4.
The elite force members also recovered some leaflets and some extremist book from the spot.
