UNB, Dhaka :A court here on Friday placed two ‘members of banned Islamist outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team’ on an eight-day remandeach in connection with blogger Niladri Chaterjee alias Niloy murder. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Judge Molla Saiful Islam passed the order when Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, inspector of detective branch of police, produced Sad Al Nahian and Masud Rana before the court seeking a 10-day remand.Earlier, plainclothes arrested the duo on Thursday from different areas in the city in connection with the murder.On August 7, Niloy was hacked to death by unidentified assailants inside his fourth-floor flat at North Gorhan in the city. He was the fourth Bangladeshi blogger killed so far this year. On August 10, Joint Commissioner (Detective Branch) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Monirul Islam said the banned Islamic militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team might have been involved in the killing of blogger Niloy.
