The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued two abducted persons from the city’s Mirpur Zoo Road early Thursday and arrested one kidnapper in connection with it. The rescued persons have been identified as Sonia Akhter (16) and Manik Mia (21). On the other hand the abductor has been identified as Dulal (22), RAB officials said. The RAB-4 Operation Officer (ASP) Badrul Alamconfirmed the matter and said that a team of the elite force conducted a drive around the National Zoo Road in the city’s Mirpur area and rescued Sonia and Manik. The RAB official said that Dulal might have a strong link with the the abducting syndicate. Dulal is being interrogated in the RAB custody in this connection, he further said.
