Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 2.70 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets from Nayapara village in Teknaf upazila early Saturday.
Lt Col Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB-2, said BGB troops challenged a group of people while they were roaming in the area suspiciously around 5:30am. They, however, managed to flee the scene leaving behind two bags. Searching the bags, the border guards recovered 2.70 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets.
