Ctg Correspondent :An anti-smuggling team of Bangladesh Navy seized 2.20 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets from the outer anchorage of the port in the city early Monday.Commander Jasimuzzaman of the anti-smuggling team said sensing presence of a Navy patrol team at Anwara coastal area under Karnaphuli police station a gang of smugglers fled thearea abandoning their boat at around 5 am.Later, the anti-smuggling team recovered the Yaba tablets worth Tk 15.40 crore from the abandoned boat.However, none was arrested in this connection.The team handed over the Yaba tablets to the Narcotics Control Department.
