The 1st National Women’s Baseball championship begins today (Sunday) at Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city’s Dhanmondi with four matches are billed for the opening day, said a press release.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, head of sports and welfare division of Walton and Joyjatra Foundation chairman Helena Jahangir will be present in the inaugural ceremony as the chief guests.
A total of eight teams including Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, and Dhaka District Sports Associations will compete in the three-day meet, organised by Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association.
The semi-finals will be held on Monday (March 13) while the final of the competition is slated on Tuesday (March 14).
