The 1st International Women’s Film Festival, Bangladesh began in the city on March 10 organised by Women’s Film Society, Bangladesh with the theme titled “Films in Women’s Eyes.”
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki inaugurated the festival as the chief guest.
Women’s Film Society Bangladesh honoured six women filmmakers of the country on the day.
Shamim Akther, senior woman filmmaker, Lailun Nahar Ekram, President of Women’s Film Society Bangladesh and Mehedi Hasan, festival director were also attended in the programme.
