The 1st Inter-college Women’s Baseball competition will begin on Tuesday (July 11) at Dhanmondi Women’s Sports Complex in the city.
Renowned sports organizer and Awami League’s sports secretary Harun Ur Rashid is expected to attend the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
A total of eight metropolis colleges, split into two groups, will take part in the knock out basis three-day meet, sponsored by Walton and organized by Bangladesh Baseball Softball Association.
Later, two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
Each participating teams I the competition will receive Taka 5,000 as participation money while the champions and runners-up will get trophy and Walton’s home appliance.
Participating teams: Rajarbagh Police Line School & College, Viqarunnisa Noon College, Dhaka Commerce College, Noor Mohammad College, Hollycross College, Green James College, Central Women’s College and Tongi Amzad Ali School & College.
