The 1st Division Chess League inaugurated on Saturday at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room here.
A total of 10 teams are participating in the event. The participating teams are Fire Service & Civil Defense Sports Club, Access Chess Club, Basir Memorial Chess Club, Debadas Biswas Smirity Sangsad, Mohakhali Pradip Sangah, Farashganj Sporting Club, Protiva Daba Goshti (SAIF POWERTEC), Destiny, Mir Chess Club and Agrani Bank Limited Daba Dal.
The champion team will get Taka fifteen thousand and a crest while the runners-up will have Taka ten thousand and crest.
The event will be held round-robin league system and top two teams of final standing will be promoted to the next year’s Premier Division Chess League and two bottom-ranked teams will be relegated in 2nd division league.
