BSS, Dhaka :The Walton Home Appliance 1st Division Chess League will begin today (Monday)at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room. Walton additional director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Dawn) will formally open the meet as the chief guest at 11 am.A total of eight teams are participating in the event. International rated players from Bangladesh and India are participating. The event will be held in round-robin league system. Top two teams of the final standing will qualify in the Premier Division Chess League for the year 2015. The participating teams are Debdas Biswas Smirity Sangsad, Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club, Mohakhali Pradip Sangah, Protiva Daba Goshti, Golden Chess Club, Destiny 2000 Limited, Basir Memorial Chess Club and Farashganj Sporting Club.
