Helveshia 1st Division Badminton League began on Wednesday at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium.
Youth and Sports secretary Noor Mohammad formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
On the opening day, Nit Concern, Gulshan, Dhaka Gladiators and Maha clubs
won their opening matches after beating their respective rivals.
