1st day of JSC exam passes peacefully

The first day of Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) passed off peacefully on Friday.
Board sources said, around 2095 students were absent in the Bangla first paper examination on the first day in different centres of the four districts under CEB.
A total of one lakh 38 thousand 556 students are appearing at the JSC examination under CEB this year from 1,225 educational institutions.
Adequate number of vigilance teams, consisting of officials of CEB, was deputed in different centres to check any sort of unfairmeans or irregularities.
Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Abdullah, CEB Chairman Prof Mohammad Shahjahan along with officials of district administration visited five examination centres in the city.
CEB Controller of Examinations Dr Pijush Dutta said the JSC examination was held in a peaceful manner as the authority has taken necessary initiatives in this regard.
