The 1st Beach Tennis competition began on Saturday at the world longest sandy sea beach in Cox’s Bazar.
Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn formally inaugurated the three-day meet as the chief guest.
Organised by Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF), eight of men’s and eight of women’s participants, who took part in the quarter-finals in the Victory Day competition, are taking part in the meet.
Amol Roy, Anwar Hossain, Ranjan Ram, Dipu Lal, Biplob Ram, Mamun Bepari, Akter Hossain and Munir Hossain are representing in the men’s singles event while Afsana Islam Prity, Shah Safinna, Ayesha Sultana, Rebeka Sultana, Popy Akter, Sraboni Biswash, ,Fabiha Lamisa and Eti Akter are playing in the women’s singles event.
