Alhaj Kazim Uddin Pradhan, general secretary of Bandar Upazila Awami League, has distributed about 1k blankets among the cold-stricken people of 9 wards of Kalagachhia Union with his personal funds.
The blankets were distributed among the leaders and activists at the ward level at Bandar Upazila Parishad premises at 10 am on Tuesday. Chairman of Bandar Upazila Parishad Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj MA Rashid was present as the chief guest at the blanket distribution function.
Also present at the time of blanket distribution were Kalagachhia Union Awami League leader Manjur Hasan Monju, Kalagachhia Union AL general secretary AKM Ibrahim Kashem, former joint secretary of Upazila Awami League Abdullah Babu, Shri Bholanath Das and others.
