A week long fair marking the anniversary of 191th birth of Michael Madhusudan Dutt kicked off at Sagardari under Keshabpur upazila in Jessore yesterday.
Jessore district administration chalked out elaborated programme to mark the fair, said Dr Humayun Kabir, Deputy Commissioner, Jessore.
The programme includes discussions, cultural programmes such as plays of drama, jatra and so on and fair at the birth place of the poet on the bank of the dying river Kobadak.
Asaduzzaman Noor, cultural affairs minister is set to kick off the fair as the chief guest, Dr Humayun Kabir, DC, Jessore told The New Nation.
