19 rivers marked rise, 62 fall

Water levels in 19 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 62 station recorded fall. Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at two monitored river stations have remained steady and all monitored river stations are flowing below their respective danger levels, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Saturday.
All the major rivers are in falling trend, the FFWC bulletin added. Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Saturday. A total of 62.7 mm rainfall were recorded at Dinajpur, 53 mm at Teknaf, 50 mm at Chittagong, 44.5 mm at Panchagarh, 38 mm at Sunamganj and 24 mm at Dalia.
