Detectives in separate drives arrested 19 members of a ‘dope gang’, who rob people after making them unconscious using sedatives, from different parts in the capital on Wednesday night.

Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of DMP Md Abdul Baten said tipped off, a special DB team conducted separate drives at Saidabad, Gabtoli bus stand, Bangshal, Bhatara, and Kamalapur BRTC bus stand and arrested them.
The arrested gangsters were involved in looting valuables of people after making them unconscious through feeding them food mixed with sedatives, the Joint Commissioner (DB) said.
