Staff Reporter : Customs Intelligence officials seized 160 gold bars weighing 18.65kg worth Tk nine crore from the city’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday night, Customs official said. Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Director General Dr Moinul Khan said, “The gold bars were kept beneath the two seats of an aircraft of Malaysian Airlines. They were seized from the aircraft after the arrival of the plane at 9:30pm.The bars weigh 116.06 grams each.”However, no one was detained in this connection, the DG said. He said that no tickets were issued for the two seats.A case has been filed in this connection.
