The routine activities against the illegal connections of gas supply by the Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Co Ltd vigilance team conducted in Cheragi pahar , Agrabad, Mansurabad, Baizid, Bakalia and Roazan areas in city recently.
During the drives, 187 connections were snapped due to outstanding bills, illegal connections , bypass line and use of gas beyond the sanctioned connections.Sources said cases will be lodged against the defaulters under the Gas act of 2010 . Manager of Vigilance team Engr. Hasan Shohrab led the vigilance drive, a KGDCL sources said.
