18,000 Yaba tablets seized in Cox’s Bazar

Police in a drive recovered 18,000 Yaba tablets from Musuni Rohingya camp area of Teknaf upazila on Thursday morning.
Tipped off that some smugglers kept a huge consignment of Yaba tablets, coming from Mayanmar, in a pharmacy near the Rohingya camp, a team of Teknaf Police Station launched a drive in the area around 6.00am, said Muktar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.
Sensing the presence of police team, the pharmacy owner, Jasim Uddin, managed to flee the scene.
Later, police recovered 18,000 Yaba tablets searching the shop.
