Some 18 trafficked victims including 5 women and 5 children were recovered from Daratana toll plaza area on Bagerhat-Pirojpur Highway in Bagerhat town by the police of Bagerhat Model Sadar PS on Friday.
At that time a human trafficker named Md. Abbas Hawladar, son of one Dalil Uddin of village Chalitatala within Khawlia Union Parishad under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district.
The recovered victims are Md. Abul Khair (32) of village Kalikabari, Shahadat (25) of village Godara village, Md. Harun Shaikh (40) of village Kathalia, Kanchan Mridha (37) of village Paschim Kahwlia, his wife Lovely (27), sons Aslam (7) and Abdur Rahim (3) and daughter Suraiya (4), Taslima ((40), wife of Khalil Shaikh of village Chalitabunia and his sons Md. Rabiul (7) and Md. Al-Amin (5). Firoj Gazi (30) of village Amtali, Rokeya Begum (36), wife of Soleman of village Khawlia, Hasina Begum (20), wife of Md. Lokman of the same village, Lucky Aktar (40), wife of Helal Shaikh of village Dhansagar and Rashid Begum (30), wife of Alam Chaprashi of village Bisharighata under Morrelganj Upazila in the district.
