Staff Reporter :The police arrested 18 suspected activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir of the city’s Azimpur area on Thursday night.Acting on a tip-off, that a meeting of the Shibir men was held at Hometext Tower at Azimpur, police raided the building and picked up 18 persons. Police said, the detained boys aged between 18 to 30 years are students of different educational institutions of the city, including Dhaka University. Mohammad Mahibullah, Sub-Inspector of Lalbagh police, police arrested them for their alleged involvement in the subversive activities.The detained people were being interrogated, he said.Nothing was however recovered from their possession, he said.
