17th founding anniversary of Khulna University Of Engineering & Technology (KUET) was celebrated here amid festivity on September 1, 2020 ( On Tuesday) on the University campus.
The University administration could not celebrate the day observing programs elaborately like the previous years due to the ongoing Corona pandemic .
This year the day was observed maintaining social distance as the Corona Virus has spreaded all over the world including Bangladesh.
Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain, Vice-Chancellor of KUET was present as Chief guest in the function and inaugurated the function by flying pegions .
Prof. Dr. Moihammad Artiful Haque, Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of KUET and President of the arrangement committee of KUET Day presided over the function.
The programs included hoisting National Flag , inauguration of University Day, tree plantation, rehashing minnows , presentation of KUET’s achievement through zoom app , discussion meeting through zoom app and Doa Mahfil.
KUET is situated at Phulbarigate upon 101 acres of lands. This University is comprised with Library building, modern laboratory & compuer center, residential halls for the students, cafeteria, playground, pond, medical center and mosque. Around 5500 students are studying here in three faculties and 20 departments. Besides, more than 300 teachers, more than 100 officials and around 300 staff have been serving here.
