179 new books land in Mela

At least hundred and seventy nine new books landed on the 27th day of the month-long Amar Ekushey Boi Mela.
 Of them, 32 are Story books, 15 Novel, 14 Article, 60 Poetry, 2 Dissertations, 7 Rhyme, 10 Child Literature, 3 Biography, 3 Liberation War, 1 Drama, 1 Science, 5 Excursion, 1 Health, 1 Puzzle, 1 Religious and 17 Miscellaneous.
Some of new books are Ochena Station of Robin Rahman and Purush-hin Narider Upottaka of Masum Billah published by Murdhonnya, Vabnay 71 of Soma Khan and Chithi of Lima Rahman published by Ovro Prokash and Dugdhoboti Joler Nodi of Nurul Hoque published by Bivash.
A discussion titled on `6-Dofar Ponchash Bochhor’ was held on the Mela premises presided over by Kazi Khalequzzaman Ahmad.
Later, a fascinating cultural function was organised in the Academy. The artists were Fakir Alamgir, Abdul Jabbar, Timir Nandi, Nomita Ghosh and Shibu Roy, among others.
