17 women, children return after serving jail in India

A total of 17 Bangladeshi women including two children returned home recently through Benapole check post after serving two years jail term in an Indian prison.
Indian police handed them over to Benapole Immigration Police, said Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Benapole Check Post Police Station.
He said the 17 Bangladeshis had illegally entered India two years back without valid documents through Jashore border point in search of good jobs.
Later, Indian police arrested them from Mumbai city. A case was filed against them and an Indian court sentence them two years’ imprisonment each for illegally crossing the border without valid documents.
