Members of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) held 17 Rohingyas from Nayanpur Bazar in Kasba upazila on Thursday.
Those held include five men, seven women and five children.
Maniruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Kasba Police Station, said the BGB men held the Rohingyas while heading towards Cox’s Bazar by CNG-run auto-rickshaws for meeting their relatives. Later, they were handed over to police. The Rohingyas will be sent back to Rohingya camps, the police said.
