Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said 17 more laboratories will also be set up across the country for the coronavirus sample test.
“We have taken a decision to set up 17 more new labs across the country for diagnosing COVID-19 in a shortest possible time,” he said this on Monday, joining an online briefing on the coronavirus situation by the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) of the Health Department here.
Besides, 200 new ICU units have been set up at different hospitals with the facilities of ‘ventilation and dialysis’, he said, adding that necessary training is being imparted to the medical technicians and sample collectors.
