17 more people have died from coronavirus infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani confirmed the matter. He said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Thursday (July 1) to 8:00am today, Friday (July 02). On the previous day, a total of 25 people died at the hospital.
Of the 17 deaths, 12 were coronavirus positive and remaining five died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus.
Of the dead, 10 were in Rajshahi district, one in Naogaon, three in Chapainawabganj, two in Natore and one in Pabna, he said.
A total of 354 people have died so far at the corona unit of the hospital.
