The members of the law enforcing agencies arrested at least 17 drug peddlers during the ongoing countrywide crackdown against the narcotics from the city’s Old Dhaka on Tuesday.
They also recovered 120 pieces of Yaba, 60 impel pathdrine 1.4 kg cannabis, 3360 packs of heroine and 14 bottles of phensidyle from their possession, said Masudur Rahman,
Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations)of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
They used to sell the drugs at Karatitola, Swamibagh, Munshirtek, Dayaganj and Gandaria, the DC said.
The joint-force also took the assistance of dog squad and detectives, the police official said.
Police filed cases with the related police stations in this connection, he added.
