Border Guard Bangladesh personnel detained a total of 17 Bangladeshis including 9 men, 5 women and three children from Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station on Friday evening.
Nayek Subeder Shamsur Rahman, in-charge, Putkhali camp, 23 Border Guard Battalion and Apurba Hasan, officer in-charge, Benapole port police confirmed the information to journalist.
The arrested were handed over to Benapole police after filing a case with the police station, said the officer in-charge.
Border Guard Bangladesh men on Wednesday evening arrested a total of 16 Bangladeshis from Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station while they were going to India illegally.
