Being tortured by a political party led by Shahin Rahman, Chairman, Pashapole union council and activist of Awami League, over 160 Hindu families were compelled to leave Bangladesh, alleged Hindu Buddha Christan Oikkyo Parishad and faction of Awami League.
Debashish Mishra Joy, vice-chairman, Chaugachha upazila council told that he had informed the administration about leaving of over 160 Hindu families of several village under Pashapole union council were compelled to leave the area for India being tortured by Shahin Rahman and his men.
Youth wing of Hindu Buddha Christan Oikkyo Parishad on Thursday formed a human chain at Chaugachha upazila headquarters demanding justice for the torture.
Leaders of the organization of a faction of the ruling party and its front organizations Parimal Sarker, Abhijit Roy, Sandipan Kumar Joy, Sohel Kabir and Shamim Reza took part the human chain.
But the accused Shahin Rahman denied the allegation raised against him terming it a propaganda.
