Chattogram Bureau :
160 cartons of foreign cigarettes were seized at Shah Amanat International Airport from a passenger named Md Yunus coming from Dubai, UAE. The passenger arrived in Chattogram on a fly Dubai flight on Monday night. According to airport sources, based on tip-off, the NSI team on duty at the airport challenged the passenger near the conveyor belt.
His luggage was searched and 160 cartons of foreign cigarettes of different brands were found.
The market price of each carton of cigarettes is around 3 thousand taka.
The detained passenger will be released after preliminary interrogation.
