Joynal Abedin Khan :The sensational target killing incidents, which occurred in the recent days, have frightened the people of all professions so much that men even fear to talk about.According to Police Headquarters, several militant incidents caused death to 16 in the last two months of this year, 25 in 2015, nine in 2014 and two in 2013. It also showed, in the last 18 months, militants have killed 54 people in 43 attacks. Responsibility for 31 of these killings was reportedly claimed by IS and eight by Ansar Al Islam.Home Ministry data said, 37 target killings took place before Mitu. Police have identified assailants in 34 cases. So far, 144 people have been arrested and 49 of them have given confessional statement.After the murders, the government and law enforcers have repeatedly claimed that tackling the target murder incidents is hard. The people of different professionals, including professors, businessmen, cops and religious leaders, expressed their dismay after the recent comments issued by the government and law enforcers.
