Border Guard Bangladesh men on Thursday night arrested a total of 16 Bangladeshi youths while going to India in search of better jobs with the help of human traffickers, said M Alauddin, camp in-charge, Putkhali camp, 23 Border Guard Bangladesh.
The BGB official told that being informed the BGB men raided Putkhali frontier and made the arrest while they were preparing to trespass to India. ‘No human trafficker was held’, he added.
Matiur Rahman, Sub Inspector, Benapole Port police station told that the arrested were handed over to the police station. The police produced them before the court on Friday noon. A case was lodged with the police station in this connection.
