Some 16 ancient metal coins were found while extracting mud from an abandoned pond at Ichidah village in Salanga upazila on Monday.
Locals said labours found the coins while digging the pond in the morning.
On information, police recovered the antique coins that depict the year of 1662, said sub-inspector of Salanga Police Station Shahin.
Victim’s wife Safali Akter filed a case with Atapara Police Station accusing nine people on June 19, 2013.
Netrokona District and Sessions Judge KM Raseduzzaman Raja handed down the verdict
