banglanews24.com :More 159 Bangladeshis, who were rescued at Myanmar maritime boundary and scheduled to be brought back to home on Thursday, will not be brought back due to inclement weather.Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-17 commander Lieutenant Colonel M Rabiul Islam Rabi confirmed the matter to banglanews around 8:30am on Thursday.He said, 159 more out of 727 migrants, who were rescued by Myanmar navy, have been identified as Bangladeshis.The Bangladeshi migrants were expected to be brought back home on Thursday, he added. But, due to cyclone “Komen”, we had to cancel the flag meeting and this is why we could not bring back them,” he added.Lieutenant Colonel Rabiul Islam Rabi also said, “The Bangladeshis might be brought back on August 2 or 3. The exact date, however, will be disclosed in the evening.”
