One out of every three Police personnel infected with coronavirus recovered from Covid-19 so far and going to their respective workplaces, said a police headquarters press release.. Finally the recovered members in the law enforcement agency was 1,563 till May 29.
However, several initiatives have been taken up as per the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed to ensure the best treatment available and take preventive steps, added the statement.
“Therefore, the number of new cases is decreasing, while the recovery rate is on a sharp rise,” claimed the press release. Police are fighting on the frontline to stop the coronavirus spread by guarding social distancing and health safety among people.
At least 4,544 police personnel of different ranks tested positive for the virus so far while discharging the duties.
After taking office, newly appointed IGP Benazir Ahmed strengthened protective measures for the law enforcement agency.
The media release also said that adequate medical equipment has been added in all police hospitals, including the rent of private hospitals to ensure the best services and care for the affected police personnel.
