BSS, Dhaka :
Road, Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader said the state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) is giving service to passengers across the country with 1,529 buses.
There are a total of 1,529 buses in the BRTC fleet, of which 479 buses are inoperative, he said this on Tuesday while replying to a question from treasury bench member Nizam Uddin Hazari in the House.
Quader said out of the inoperative buses, 69 are being repaired in the country’s Integrated Central Workshops (ICWS).
The buses of the state-run BRTC would be repaired within January 2015, while more buses would be repaired in phases, the minister added.
